Winter? Really?

Okay, so after a quick bout of winter, we definitely didn't expect warm temperatures!  Yet from Christmas to about midway through January, the ground was dry, the grass was turning green...then winter hit.

The snow is piling up, right into the middle of the road.  It makes interesting parking spaces throughout downtown, that's for sure!  But now that the temperatures are staying low, we shouldn't have to be worrying about ice on the roads.  It actually feels like Montana now!

It's a Lovely Fall!

I've so enjoyed watching the leaves changing around Lewistown.  I'll be sad to see winter come, I'll admit.  I do love seeing the snow, but I have to admit my favorite season is autumn.  I hope you've had the opportunity to get out and enjoy the weather!  It's been fabulous!

Relaxed Living

Moving to Lewistown has been a culture shock in my tendency to move at high speeds.  I have to be careful not to drive the speeds I used to drive, and everything with business moves a little slower. As you can see above, even the ladders take time to relax!  On a nice day, rather than rushing off to work, I often look out to see neighbors walking, and I have enjoyed walking to work myself.  It's been really nice to relax and take more time enjoying life and less time rushing from one thing to another.

Getting to Know Lewistown

My family moved to Lewistown in December 2010.  We discovered quickly that we knew everything that was happening, but not until the day after it was over.  The reason for this is simple: most people that live in the community are from here or from somewhere nearby.  The locals already know what happens, because most of it happens the same time every week, month, or year.  But if you're new to the area, it's much more difficult to find out information.  With that in mind, we're reaching out to people and businesses in the Lewistown area to let us know what is going on.  Do you have information?  Please let us know, and we'll pass it along on here.
